Anna Kenny

My name is Anna and I have been a qualified midwife since 2011. I have had a varied midwifery career, starting in London and then moving to Oxford before finally settling in Lincoln, where I still work now. I feel very lucky to have been at hundreds of births both in the hospital and home setting. I am passionate about pregnancy and birth and I love seeing women empowered by their experience of becoming mothers. I believe the best way to facilitate this is through antenatal information and preparation. This is what has led to Brood Antenatal Course.

I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and I am a member of the Royal College of Nursing. I am a first aid trainer, I have a diploma in hypnobirthing with KG Hypnobirthing and my most important role of course, I am a mum.

Amy Garratt

Hi, I am Amy, and have been working as a qualified midwife since 2014 and I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. I completed my midwifery training in Swindon, and since qualifying, have worked at both Lincoln and Boston Hospital in a variety of roles. My passion in midwifery is personalised care and information giving; helping to put you in the driving seat of your pregnancy, birth and postnatal journey. I love helping women figure out ‘what matters to them’ and supporting them to find out what they need to know to make the right choices for them. I believe that antenatal education provides you with the space, time and information you need to approach your journey into parenthood with confidence and excitement. While midwifery forms a large part of my identity, I am also a mother to two children, read a lot and enjoy being at home (or out in our camper) with my family!
